Hello fellow women travelers, I am currently in the process of figuring out my long term birth control options. I was on the Nuvaring which I LOVED and tried a pill for a month which was terrible with its side effects. Are there any travelers out there that are aware of how easy it is to find the Nuva ring? I am planning on bring 4 with me and then try to locate more on the road.
Please note, my doctor told me my cervix is too small for a IUD.
Does any one know how easy they are to find in South America? Do you need a script?
Absolutely fantastic post
, love it! If I get any questions on the issue I know where to send people!
I've been refraining from answering this Audrey as a) I was hoping other women may have the answer for you and b ) to be honest it's not my area of expertise. I do know that it is available in SOME countries across South America, Chile for example, and I'm pretty sure Argentina too, but I don't know if they will be stocked by every chemist. To be honest it's not something I have ever looked for or thought to check (obviously). I certainly don't know whether laws in individual countries would require a prescription either.
I would suggest using condoms instead, as I know they are definitely readily available.
