While I was in Mexico I applied (and was hired on the spot) to teach English online to ages 5-12 in China.
I was skeptical at first but it's a lot of fun. I started out at $7.50 per 25 minute class plus get a $2 per class bonus for just showing up. They also give bonuses if a student enrolls after taking your trial class, referring new teachers, and a few other things. I even get paid if a student cancels or no-shows with less than 24-hour notice. I've had a lot of fun watching my payroll pile up the past few weeks and getting shy kids to smile and learn their ABCs. You set your own schedule by opening availability online.
If you're interested send me a message and I will send you a link to the application.
You will have to teach two practicums and buy a few educational props before you start working, but you will be reimbursed as stipulated in your contract.
Disclaimer: I get $50 or something if you're hired.
Requirements: BA Degree in any subject, some kind of teaching experience.
Hi Jen,
Thanks a lot for the info!
Could you send me the link please?
Just got my first paycheck from teaching English online.
I taught 40 25-minute classes. Including bonuses and no-shows I cleared almost $500. Slightly under $25 an hour.
They're still hiring!
